В китаефандоме есть популярный мем 只羡忘羡不羡仙, который обыгрывает знаменитую цитату из поэмы Лу Чжаолиня "Чанъань - подражание древнему" - "Я не завидую бессмертным, хотел бы я быть уткой-мандаринкой! (只羡鸳鸯不羡仙)". В словах "не завидовать" в поэме используется тот же иероглиф 羡, что и в имени Усянь, так что получилась игра слов. В китайской классической литературе утки-мандаринки - символ любящей пары, которая остается вместе на всю жизнь, и в поэме говорится о том, что найти свою любовь и прожить жизнь вместе гораздо желаннее, чем достичь бессмертия в одиночестве.Цзяньчжи - традиционная техника китайского декоративного искусства. Для дизайна работы использовались образцы из cборника《剪纸艺术》王忠强 (Шанхай, 1991) и авторская каллиграфия (иероглифы 忘羡 wàng xiàn). Размер вырезки - 16x16 см.Traditional Chinese paper cutting (jianzhi)This work is inspired by a popular catchphrase in the Chinese MDZS fandom, 只羡忘羡不羡仙. There's a famous quote from an ancient poem by Lu Zhaolin ‘to be envious of the mandarin duck couple and not of immortals’ (只羡鸳鸯不羡仙). The poet implies that it is much more desirable to find your true love and spend your lives together than to become immortal and endlessly lonely. In this quote, the fans have replaced the mandarin ducks 鸳鸯, which traditionaly depict a loving couple in Chinese culture, with Wangxian 忘羡. What makes this pun so awesome is that wang + xian 忘羡 might be as well losely translated as not + envy.Jianzhi is a traditional Chinese paper cutting art form. I have based my design on the samples published in《剪纸艺术》王忠强 (1991) as well as my own calligraphy of 忘羡 wàng xiàn characters.

Именная печать Лань Ванцзи выполнена под влиянием стиля чжуаньшу.This work is loosely inspired by the “Koмедианты” fic and traditional Chinese mythology. Also, I always wanted to do a dragon!LWJ artwork! 🙂 In the fic, Wei Wuxian compares Lan Wangji to a carp who swims upstream and overcomes the waterfalls of the Yellow River to become a mighty dragon. Of course, WWX refers to a famous Chinese legend of the Longmen (Dragon Gate)Jianzhi is a traditional Chinese paper cutting art form. I have based my design on the samples published in《剪纸艺术》王忠强 (1991) as well as my own take on the traditional seal script representation of Lan Wangji’s name.
