The demon tucks her muscled arms up and over Zoey’s shoulders, her hands caressing the back of Zoey’s head. Zoey swears she hears “Joh-eun Achim”. It’s ‘good morning’ in Korean. She hears it every morning she's in bed next to the demon. It’s mumbled into her ear because Rumi is like an anxiously attached koala in her sleep. She hears it the same today and notices no difference at all. But what Rumi really says is, “good morning” in a horrible accented English. Or, two idiot gays learn English for their American-Korean girlfriend.
