The cage wasn’t Zhao’s making, but he’d been handed the keys. So Zhao built him the most elaborate lie he could manage, a perfectly cultivated habitat for his most treasured predator. It’s what he deserved. What he was built for. It wasn’t his fault he’d wound up in this cage.
