Moonlight on the Snow

by Aymee

Hawks is young, still. Twenty-five years old, which is not a bad age to reinvent yourself, really. Young, with a job, being quietly groomed for a position where he can truly help people on a systemic level. He packs away his uniform. He donates the hoodies and shirts with holes for his wings, and he buys clothes without them needing to be altered. He travels Japan to meet with heroes, politicians, and government employees, because a young agent of the HPSC being groomed for leadership needs to know the country and its people. It is not a bad life, really. He misses flying. Hawks survives the war, and somehow, stumbles his way into a life with dogs.

Stars Falling to the

by AnarchyAndOldLace

Israel Hands is running his sixteenth Iditarod, happy for the yearly experience. Sure, things are a bit different this year with Edward having joined their kennels with Stede Bonnet's, but it's more than a week, mostly alone in the last frontier. Just Izzy, his dogs, and wide expanses of snow and ice. What he's not expecting is a surprise encounter with a rogue moose on Day 1, much less being forced into the orbit of a fucking rookie competitor.

Old year eve

And maybe this year that is coming, would be great. Or maybe not. He didn’t want to jinx the year that is coming, so he just forced the thought away that it might be worse.
