Voltron: Legendary Defender
we're like gold dust (that you can't touch)
by angstinspace
Lance puts an arm out, barring Keith’s way. “Wait, hold on a second. Do you hear that?” “Hear what?” Keith asks, but the words have barely left his mouth when the noise rattles across the ceiling again––a series of crackling and hissing noises that make Lance’s blood run cold. At first he thinks maybe it’s just the sound of more sand pouring in through the hole in the roof. But no, it’s much louder than that, and coming from every direction. As he looks up, eyes widening with terror, he sees that the large cocoons above them are starting to move, shuddering and splitting open. Keith and Lance have been assigned a mission to collect a rare sandstone from a desert planet called Zaedra, which is plagued by dangerous sandstorms. But when they arrive at the temple where the sandstone is located, they find it is not quite as abandoned as they anticipated.

“Fearless in my living, I’ll take what’s mine”
by Solgaletta
The desert of Copper Rock was known as a dangerous place. Not because of its scorching sun or frigid nights, but because of a gang of robotic bandits that reside somewhere within the sandy expanse. And leading these bandits is an Operator Drone, a robot with animalistic parts made for sturdier servitude.Upon one excursion, they raid a small caravan of desert ships. With them, they take a large and hefty chest among other loot. It's believed that something priceless is held within the chest, and is therefore given to the bandit leader.Indeed, there was something quite priceless held within that chest. Something more priceless than gold or diamond or rubies or any other jewel imaginable. Because what was held inside wasn't a piece of precious metal at all.It was a living, breathing human, who was now stuck in the hands of the desert bandit leader.-(Title taken from Narantuya's theme 'Nightmare's Descent')

A Scene at the Hotel
by theorbess540
With his head down, he heard more then saw the door open again. He called out a greeting, but it must have been drowned out beneath the howl of the wind, because the potential guest didn’t return it. They pushed the door shut and walked over, footsteps sharp against the wood. Marius’ fingers found the new register book, and he'd mostly pulled it out when the guest spoke.“Hello, do you have three beds available? Single and a double room would be best, but we can adjust.”Marius’ neck snapped up. “Meryl?”Huh, speak of the devil. His wayward cousin blinked, her violet eyes wide. “Marius?”
