The book skips in time a bit, starting when Alice is in the agency, and then moving along through her life, finally going at a normal speed, re-not flashbacks, after Evan finally accepts the fact that Alice's pregnancy was caused by him and he manages to track down the elusive ex-spy. TRIGGER WARNING: THERE IS CUTTING AND SOME SEMI-SUICIDAL CONTENTEvan is a bastard at the beginning, yes, I know. Please don't hate on him too much, trust me, there are men worse than him.
