“You failed me. You failed yourselves. And you’ve ruined everything.” “No! We didn’t mean to. And they didn't—” Uranus didn’t recognize any of the voices—he didn’t recognize where he was, either, floating in a featureless void. Was he supposed to be somewhere right now? "They were as complicit as you when they allowed it to happen." Or; Uranus is stuck in a dead-end town after graduating college, dealing with massive art block, and frustrated with the general state of his life. And then everything changes.

I..." Neptune squeezed his hands his hands in support. Uranus shuddered. Deep breath in, deep breath out... "...I don't. I... I want you to use my name." "But we are?" Mars asked in a confused matter, clearly missing something. "You said you don't want to be Caelus anymore, right, YourAnu-" "That." The ice giant grumbled with a shaky breath, sitting straighter when the upset in his core bubbled, overtaking the joy he'd felt earlier. He squeezed Neptune back, his grip tight. "I want you guys to say my bloody name right." He hissed out the final part, realizing a second too late just how rude he sounded- and froze. Looking away again, he quietly added. "...Please." "But... what?" He heard the smallest planet, Mercury, ask, sounding lost, much to his shock and anger. "I thought- isn't your name-" "No," Jupiter breathed out guiltily with a sigh, causing Uranus' core to skip a beat. "It isn't." Or Uranus has a lot to apologize for. But so did everyone else.

A lot can be said about a person just from looking at the way they act right now. Those who lived a happy life would be easy going because they learned to trust. Those, filled with hate would be someone with a bad experience. A lot can be said about a person's life by the way they act. So why... Can't we see through Neptune in any way? ...trust is a big word. Especially when all your life you put on a smile on your face and kept shut about the problems, self-destructive thoughts and feelings. Maybe you deserve to learn it too.

While Venus checks on the sirens, Jupiter asks Neptune how she ended up in camp. Neptune tells her a story about a girl caught kissing her best friend at the back of a church and the blood stains that wouldn't come out of the suit; about being dropped during baptism and spending the rest of her life on the verge of drowning.

Your face feels warm, and you resist the urge to swat them both upside the head – you have a hand for that, but you wouldn't want to startle Neptune while she's driving. So you settle for giving them both a wicked stink eye. "For your information," you say, "I was thinking about how much I love you both, and how I want to spend the rest of my life with you." "Gay," Neptune says, deadpan. Vague post-True Ending AU where the Worst Gals go on a road trip to find somewhere to call home, and the subject of matrimony is breached.
