Learn to Fly

In a not so far future, the Earth is dominated by Klaxxosaurs.After the invincible bio-machines emerged from Earth's core and destroyed civilization as everyone knew it, all that's left of the old world are endless, scorching deserts. Humanity, in a last ditch effort, took shelter in immense fortress-cities made of metal called Plantations that endlessly roamed the earth. Eventually, society inside the Plantations degenerated into a dystopia that used mind-conditioned child soldiers fighting in squads of mind-melding battle mechs, the FranXX, to fight against those nightmares. During the final battle at the enemy's last stronghold, though, something goes horribly wrong and humanity instantly collapses into nothingness.In the heat of the moment, a particular FranXX squad made a bundle of carefree adolescents, Squad 13, is thrown neck-first into the difficult task of keeping afloat the last remnants of the young defense force in the last hyper-technological bastion of humanity, Bird Nest. This is the story of their search for a happy future written in the ever-changing sands of a world that doesn't want them, and the epic struggle of learning how to use their wings to fly higher than they ever dreamed.
