Nakama of the Wolf

When a great upheaval engulfs separate worlds into a mystical forest, San begrudgingly finds herself leader of a pack of loathsome humans: The runty crybaby Chihiro, the runaway soldier Nausicaa, the clever witches Kiki and Sheeta, and the brooding artist Sasaki. Their fledgling coven embarks on a quest to find Moro, who has surely returned from death, and seek her blessing. But the path ahead is as treacherous as it is wondrous. Hungry beasts, conniving spirits, and embittered humans litter the path like so many leaves. Yet by learning to rely on other humans, San discovers a new sense of purpose, an affection she'd never known before. A grand friendship that will last a lifetime.
