Summary
The real yellow jersey is the friends we made along the way... but is it though? Set in an alternate universe where COVID never happened and the 2020 season ran as expected, Romain Bardet goes into the Tour de France expecting yet another disappointing disaster of a race. He knows he'll never be good enough to beat Ineos, and that AG2R will never agree to let him structure his season differently. Nothing goes according to plan.(Disclaimer: Absolutely nothing in this story actually happened, and should not be taken as a reflection on all of these very real people. Mostly written in 2019, so anything which I have successfully predicted about the real 2020 Tour is just a coincidence.)
