On the outside, Daniel Howell appears to be a successful dancer at one of London's most prestigious dance studios, with a boyfriend and a perfect career. But behind the perfect veneer, his relationship is falling apart and he can't find a way out of it, his anxiety is threatening to ruin his life, and the cutthroat competition of the studio is waiting at every turn to take his spot. When he's paired with another principal dancer, Phil Lester (who he's barely ever talked to), they're tasked with creating and executing a perfect routine to bring in new crowds and keep the studio thriving. Phil almost seems to care about him, though Dan isn't sure why he would, it may be the one thing that could bring him out of the shadows and into the sunlight.
