Magically Twins: A Vampire Tale [The Rewrite]

It was the time of year when the air begins to hold a chill and the leaves drift slowly to the ground, leaving bare branches clawing at the grey sky above. October had arrived and now it was leaving, taking with it the lives of two young boys’ families. One was forced to witness his mother’s murder and hear his father fall ominously to the ground in the hallway moments before, staring up into ruby eyes as the man who killed his parents tried to kill him. The other huddled in the corner as his parents were tortured into insanity only feet away. Both boys were briefly brought together when they were collected by an elderly man in bright robes and golden-rimmed glasses, then separated again as one was sent off with a large man on a flying motorbike and the other carried by the elderly man to his grandmother’s cottage. They were both left with relatives who would form them into the malleable children he needed them to become. And it would’ve worked, at least if Magic hadn’t intervened.
