It was nice though, to have someone to sit and talk with. Someone to work with, who's gone through similar things. A business partnership, if you will. A cautious arrangement, between two fuses set to blow, in the hopes that maybe being together would mean that they don't blow at all, but it they do, it would be ten times worse. So there was some comfort, in knowing that if somehow this all went south, they could blow it all to kingdom come.
