Phil reached down, ruffling Wilbur’s hair, “just please make sure that Tommy doesn’t get himself into trouble. Take care of him.”
Wilbur mumbled something incomprehensible. Phil took that for an agreement.
“Tommy, you take care of Wilbur as well,” Phil called over his shoulder. He heard a small clatter and the scraping of talons against the wood, then a muttered “ok!”.
