Summary

Caelum’s lips curled into a pout, and he finally shifted his gaze to make eye contact with the miqo’te, brows knitting together and ears folding back. “You might speak to me as if you care to know me, but I know you just want to get within my good graces, Tia.”

G’raha’s expression went blank for a few moments, before he then smiled again; it was a warm, genuine smile that tugged at the corners of his twinkling eyes and dimpled his sun-kissed cheeks. For a brief moment, Caelum felt like the sun itself was smiling at him, and he swore he felt his heart skip a beat.

“Perhaps I do, warrior. Perhaps I do.”

Caelum Aphelion is not the scholarly type, nor does he have that unquenchable thirst for knowledge so many of his peers had. So, naturally, when his sister drags him into assisting Rammbroes Zasertylsyn and Cid nan Garlond in their endeavors to uncover the secrets of the ephemeral Crystal Tower, he isn't the least bit interested in their work.... at least, not until he meets a one G'raha Tia.
