She stood there, in Olivia’s office frozen for a few moments before the words actually sunk in. Once they did, they hit her like a ton of bricks, suddenly her body was too heavy for her legs to hold her up. Amanda only vaguely realized she was slowly inching back towards the chair until the back of her knees hit it, and she was lowering herself into the worn leather. As soon as she was sitting, being held up by the chair, it was as if a damn had broken. Amanda stopped trying to stop the tears that were threatening to fall. “Oh, god.” She didn’t even realize the words left her mouth until she heard Liv say her name.
