Sam was halfway through his soothing indie playlist and just about to doze off when their brother slammed on the breaks. “Wh–”“Bear!” Dean shouted in response. Sam tore out his headphones and gaped through the windows. See, he and his brother had seen plenty of things: monsters, angels, demons, God himself. But for whatever reason, they had never come across a bear. The first thing Sam thought was that it was… cute. Smaller than they had expected. Just sitting in the grass next to the road, munching on dandelions. His second thought was that the prior was a stupid idea and that this bear could absolutely kill them. Dean, apparently, did not have the second thought.
