George let out a shaky breath, his vision going blurry as he finished reading the letter. He stared, unfocused, down at the paper for a moment too long before blinking hard and shaking himself back into clarity. He had no idea what he’d expected going into it, but he certainly hadn’t expected whatever that was. A letter that apparently was not expected to be read by anyone, let alone the subject. He was a bit scared, now. Not because of the possibly unstable stranger who had his address, or because he had read something not meant for him, but because he couldn’t shake the feeling that this letter was meant for him.

And he couldn’t shake the feeling that somehow, to this stranger, he was dead.

George receives a letter from a stranger that can't possibly be meant for him. Maybe, though, that doesn't matter.
