The sun, starting its celestial descent. Up here it looked divine, like a dark red pool of fire melting a cyan pool, radiating all matters of pinks and oranges.

And at the horizon’s edge, where it met the ocean, it reflected onto the gossamer blue sea, rippling and swirling into a thousand shapes.

I could hardly breathe. A soft “woah” was all I could muster.

“Pretty, right?” and you smiled that smile again, a worthy rival of the sunset sight.

“Yeah,” I said.
