Summary
The kids eat like they’re half-starved, and Wilbur just buys them more food instead of commenting even as his heart aches, because they almost certainly are. Living on the streets, having to constantly glamour themselves to avoid human detection.. that’s no kind of life for a child, no matter their species.
He’s definitely keeping them. He has to, he can’t in good conscience abandon them after this. Even if it takes a while to earn their trust, he’s already attached and that means he’s in this for the long haul.
