If I don't leave you, would you stay?

*The next chapter will be out by August/September because I have been so sick with Covid and am recovering very slowly*---The story starts with a fifth-year Slytherin reader who gets paired with Neville by Prof Sprout as she needs to work on Herbology to pass OWLs. Still dating Blaise, y/n does not make much of the time she spent with Neville. Slowly, many broom rides, hogsmeade dates, and study dates in the Astronomy Tower later, she develops feelings for him. But she has a past that she cannot escape, no matter how much she obliviates it from her head. Some memories of her parents' betrayal, her running from places, obliviating memories of her parents and her family, sneak back into her head. Can she ever tell Neville about her past? Can she ever stop erasing her memories and fight back? And if she tells Neville, will he accept her? Will he still want to be her friend? When Neville's friends find out about their...friendship, will they accept y/n?This story follows canon and deals quite a bit with Neville's own journey, especially when he finds out (at least in this version he does) that he could have been the Chosen One.
