Summary
The door to her now permanent bedroom opened and Gabriel walked in, without, she noticed his usual bravado. His shoulders were slumped and his eyes looked dull, all very subtly, but to Nathalie, these details stuck out like a sore thumb. He looked impossibly tired and worn. Gabriel’s demeanour all but showed it as he trudged to her bedside.
