patching up (and hugging)

Shaking her head angrily, she left the rooftop – mulling over the rest of the flight downstairs with her thoughts until a buzz on her thigh reminds her of the existence of her phone. Her back aches as well as the rest of her body – she takes her phone out of the pocket, seeing one single message light up the screen.

[hey ik it's late but i'm back from hell ;) do u wanna talk tomorw?]

Kate lets out a breath or two, the nerves in her body are rushing and still buzzing along the emotional and physical pain from the fight. She presses her number, as if seeing this right, as she walks to the sidewalk.

Half of her wants to come back up or look up at the rooftop, wishing Clint had second thoughts but a part of her wants to look away for now.

She does the latter.
