Pain

Charles has always been great at hiding his pain, not only locking away his pain so it’s not projected to anyone else and so no one can tell from looking at him that he’s in any pain at all. It had stemmed from migraines from a young age, many people knew about that, the pain of screaming thoughts from all around, all the noise, the voices, talking, screaming, whispering. No matter how long he’s lived with his mutation and how used to it he gets, there are still times that it becomes too much and he ends up giving in for a mid-day lie down. Everyone in the mansion knows that by now. Or: The one where Charles has Appendicitis.
