A/N: AU from the end of the film. This is kind of a prequel to the first Kitchen 'verse story, but kind of not; it weaves in and out of the timeline of the other one in a way that probably only makes sense in my head. This part is mostly the Erik & Moira Start To Be Friends part of the story, even though eventually it is the Angel Gets a Birthday Cake story, so there is more to this story (with 100% more cake and an actual party!) languishing in my G-docs.
