“I don’t think people like you are made to be touched,” the man says, shuffling around awkwardly. He glances towards a painting, a man kneeling before a goddess, and studies it almost wistfully.Then he turns to Viktor, his unnervingly blue eyes pinning him down and yet not really looking at him at all.

“You are something delicate that should be worshipped, and only from afar.”Viktor has never known what it feels like to be admired until this moment. As he feels bile rising in his throat, feels how his skin itches unpleasantly, he decides that if this how being worshipped feels like, he’d rather not be admired at all.
