Langa comes to a stop several meters above the ground–not close enough to touch, but easily close enough for Reki to see his radiant smile.“The stars are so beautiful tonight, Reki!” He calls out. “They’re so colorful…a whole rainbow of colors. I never knew the stars could be this bright.”His tone is so convincing that Reki actually squints at the sky for a second, wondering if he’s somehow missing something obvious. While the stars are very bright tonight, they shine the same icy white as always. “Uh, Langa?” Reki says to his friend. “The stars aren’t…rainbow…are you high right now or something?”Langa laughs–he almost sounds intoxicated, but that’s impossible. His biology makes it impossible for him to ever get drunk. Reki should know, he’s seen the guy win enough drinking contests.“Nope,” he says, still grinning loopily. “I don’t need drugs…Reki, my eyes have been opened to the light.”
