And as I watched the world burn with tears rolling down my face I had to remind myself that I did it all for her. Rei Wisteria was a gifted child, or so she was told. She could see supernatural beings for what they were. She could also control plants and fire, pretty cool right? She didn’t think so. These so-called gifts were what caused her parents to abandon her when she was seven. They dropped her off at an orphanage and that was that. Now here she was at the age of eighteen working in a coffee shop and wishing her gifts would just vanish. She hated her life and her gifts even more. They were just a curse to her. Elaine was just following God’s orders. She was to protect Rei Wisteria and watch over her. She didn’t know why Rei was so important, but she wasn’t going to question her father.
