She was familiar with the they he spoke of. The kind of kids her parents had told her not to approach or find herself hanging out with. The teenagers who sat at the edge of their cafeteria and liked to cause trouble, the teenagers who reeked of cigarette smoke and other questionable substances, the ones who would be covered in cuts and bruises from whichever fights they found themselves from the night before. They didn’t always come to class, but when they did they seemed to cause a lot of trouble. Talking back to teachers and giving rude remarks, shoving their classmates or their juniors up against the lockers or even fighting with another group of rebel students on campus.

Quest never seemed to fit into that sort of group.
