Pictures on the Wall

There was a secret to the room. Maki just knew it. Whether it was the hidden compartment in the center table, the encoded books on the shelves, or the vault she couldn’t open for the life of her, the entire room felt like one big puzzle. She’d spent hours there, just testing every random idea that came to her head alongside Kiibo. And yet the mystery remained. At night, they sat in the room and she stared at the pictures on the wall. There was a secret there, she just knew it. A reason she felt a connection to the blue-haired boy and the one with the star jacket. She just didn’t know what it was yet.
