Summary
Luz has always been curious, so she spends a lot of her childhood in trouble at school for asking "inappropriate" questions. One instance of this leads to her mother carefully explaining how babies are made. When her mami tells Luz about periods, she promises that when Luz gets her first one they'll spend that day together. But of course that day comes on the Boiling Isles after Luz has destroyed the portal to the Human Realm. This means that Luz can't spend that time with her mom as promised. She's upset about that, but the other side of her family helps her through it.
