Gerard was never a popular kid. Not in middle school, not in high school, and not in college. Ever since his best friend passed away in his sophomore year of high school, he struggled to make new friends; he struggled to let people in. When he was kicked out from his home not long later, he had to cope any way he could. Somehow, he managed to get into college, and stay afloat, just long enough to meet his happiness.Frank had always radiated confidence and joy. Everyone would agree; even Max- his best friend, who found him unconscious after an overdose- an attempted suicide in his freshman year of college. Hiding away that, and his status as a queer, he quickly got popular, and built up a thriving college life, all his pain hidden deep inside.Neither men would ever understand how much would change once they had met- neither could grasp what the other could do for them. How their lives would change for the better, and how they would find happiness. But both of them would learn happiness doesn't come easy.
