Summary
After moving to the small desert town of Midnight, Nevada, Laurel Woods needed a job to support her two kids and her younger sister. When she gets an ad for a diner outside of town, she lands a sweet gig as a night shift waitress. Living wage, childcare, free food, and tips to boot. However, that doesn't hide the strangeness of the diner itself. Why does it seem abandoned according to the internet? Why does the jukebox constantly play by itself? Why does the owner only speak from behind a closed door? And why are the customers so...weird? Combined with strange events occurring throughout the rest of town, including amongst her own family, Laurel finds herself in a bizarre and magical world she didn't even realize she existed in.
