Summary

“But Master, you haven’t even looked at her!” It was true. Obi-Wan had made a distinct effort to completely avert his eyes from the black and white kitten Anakin had found in the gutter outside of the Temple that afternoon. “I know what a kitten looks like. Let me find a box and we will drop it –“ “Her. She’s a girl.” “We will drop her off at the pound.” Obi-Wan set his datapad down at their dining table, scooted his chair back, and rose to his feet. He briskly walked off down their hallway, presumably to search his few belongings for a suitable kitten receptacle. Anakin looked down at the kitten in his lap. She needed her mother, or at least some sort of food. He pet the top of her head, in between tufted tiny ears, with the pad of his forefinger. She was so tiny. He knew what it felt like to be lost on Coruscant, a place where everything was bigger and faster than yourself. The kitten looked up and let out a barely audible squeak. OR:Anakin's emotions get the better of him after he finds an abandoned kitten outside of the Jedi Temple. Obi-Wan Kenobi steps in to make things better.
