For someone who disliked horses as much as Crawly generally did, the equine section of the Ark was an odd place to take refuge.Yet here he was, side by side with a unicorn, its horn glistening as it shifted restless hooves among the surrounding pack of horses, donkeys, and zebras. The other equine beasts stood quietly, two by two: in pairs, like all the other animals and humans gathered aboard the vessel. All except for the unicorn. And, of course, the demon.Perhaps that was why he’d chosen this particular corner, out of all the corners on the Ark, to wait out the storm.
