Summary
I used to hate limbo, but now an endless void of black and grief is far more appealing than the reality that you’re not here. I thought of myself as the Sun, with planets as people in my life circling me, but I was wrong. You are the Sun and I am a broken, burning star floating in the universe where I’m nothing except a speck of dust bound to be forgotten; you are the reason why I was there, and that you’re gone, I’m falling apart. Once I was a shining star, a twinkling spark, now I am a flicker of dying fire, destined to turn into a pile of dead gray ash. This letter is my final thank you, apology, and goodbye. - Or, Tommy writes a letter to Wilbur after the latter leaves him for Utah, and says things that should've been spoken a long time ago. (Title from Rät by Penelope Scott!!)
