Sometimes Carlos feels short-changed.Not with the present or what the future holds, never like that. He’s got TK by his side, engagement rings on their fingers. He’s the happiest he’s ever been, and he’s the luckiest person on the planet. Never once did he think he’d have such an incredible man in his life, loving him enough to wake him up in the middle of the night because the love he feels is so vast that he cannot bear the thought of waiting another moment to ask Carlos to marry him. Carlos never thought he’d get the opportunity to say yes, let alone a thousand times yes, and it still is fewer yeses than TK deserves.—or, Carlos wonders what life could've been like if he met TK earlier.
