The barbarian snorts, and says something back to his companion his voice half amused, half annoyed.Wilbur restrains a flinch. He is supposed to be making the barbarians happy, so that they won't unleash their savage wrath upon the city.Of course all of the Sun's Chosen could escape, the wind would bear them up out of the way of danger. But, in their graciousness, they have extended their wing of protection over the less beloved, and they cannot simply abandon them without doing all they can to ensure that they tried to secure peace.Wilbur needs to do his best to secure peace.
