Pantalone smiles at the doctor, allowing himself to appear as tired as he feels and eyes closed enough so he can still see, but making it impossible for Dottore to notice the burning determination in his lilac irises. His lips don’t even twitch when he answers, as if the information he leaks isn’t something that would change everything for them both if it were true. “I’m sick, doctor.”, he smiles politely, and fake. It must irritate the Second or at least confuse him, for he’s the only person Pantalone doesn’t smile at like that. With Dottore, his smile is mostly murderous, but at least it’s real.

——or——Pantalone is smitten, but unfortunately the doctor appears to be void of any and all human emotion that isn't sadistic pleasure. So, being the dramatic minx he is, he decides to drop a bomb onto dottore to check if there's a chance he cares. Things.. escalate because apparently the Second Harbringer has many hidden thoughts about Pantalone that now, he finally voices.
