"Here," Nagi breathes, and he lifts the World Cup into Reo's arms. "It's for you."Reo sways as it lands in his hand, dipping under its weight before he straightens back up again. He stares down at it for a long moment, and Nagi watches him collapse, shivering from head to toe, until he presses his face into Nagi's shoulder and begins to cry, choking as he drags an inhale through his teeth. "Nagi," he whispers. His hand tightens in Nagi's, pulling at his skin until he thinks he might bleed.Nagi cradles Reo's head and stares at the ceiling. Reo's not yelling. He's not mad, he's not telling Nagi to leave. He's not rejecting him, and surely that is a victory, and yet—Reo isn't happy.
