the burdens we bear

Twin sense is a powerful thing. Even if it had been an annoyance at times, Lark had always considered himself lucky; lucky that if nothing else, he knows where his brother is and his general well-being.He’s never felt like this before, though. It slams into him like a truck, and he sits in his car and shakes and shakes for a minute, two minutes. His breath catches in his chest– what the fuck, what the fuck, what the fuck–?When his phone rings, Lark dives to answer it.~~or: when sparrow and rebecca die in a car accident, it's up to lark to swallow his grief, confront his emotional baggage, and raise sparrow's kids in his stead. it goes about as well as you might think.
