Nephilim

“Have you ever loved someone?” The Angel Devil questioned, voice a lazy murmur upon the quiet amongst them.A question, and Aki thinks of a woman in an eyepatch who he feels he may see again, thinks of blonde hair and sharp teeth, thinks of red horns and an impolite demeanor, thinks of a hypnotic gaze that commanded its viewers, and he thinks of his brother, he thinks of his parents. Aki turns his head to look upon the devil, whose gaze has shifted towards the mural above now, and he thinks of a halo.“Of course I have.”
