Kenny didn’t have money for a watch, but he didn’t need one to know that something wasn’t right. He always left the house at a certain time on Mondays and Thursdays. He always arrived at the bus stop at around the same time, and every single time, Kyle waited for him, scrolling through his phone with a twitch in his eye as the only indicator of his impatience.
