Esther doesn't exactly disprove of their exploits but she certainly doesn't approve of them. She worries, mostly, about her partners who actively and willingly put themselves in harm's way regularly throughout the week. She spends a lot of their late nights waiting up for them and reading ancient tomes that don't actually need to be read just so that she's awake, just so that she knows if it's gotten too late and something bad has happened.
