Summary
The starting words come to her easily; she thinks of a lonely man who has lived through so many lives that death is but a cheap farce to him, and begins writing the hellish eternity that was Yoo Joonghyuk's life. She's dooming him. She's sentencing the lives of millions to death, across worlds and time and universes. But she thinks of a boy that jumped, a boy without wings and without strength, falling to die. Han Sooyoung thinks of Kim Dokja, fifteen years old and already stepping off the edge, and she writes.
It was hard. It was tough. It was boring as hell. But Han Sooyoung wouldn’t give up. She couldn’t give up. And so she dooms humanity with nothing but black words on a white screen and prays they reach a boy who wished so desperately for salvation but didn’t know how to ask for it.
Han Sooyoung of the 1863 world line, on crafting a story from a place of love.
