Mason had just recently moved from the Reserve to Brooklyn, New York due to his mother finding a new job. The change was bit of a culture shock to him. As he had to adapt to the City life then to the Reservation life. He was then accepted to Visions Academy where he met Miles. The two eventually became friends and hunged out with each other frequently, becoming inspeartable despite not knowing their "other" lives as Spider-Man and the Prowler. They both then caught feelings for each other after many interactions, becoming distraught and distance from each other due to this. Only for a wall of tragedies following them both.
