Written for the Twisted Wonderland Horror Zine titled "Nightmares" in 2023! A piece in which our beloved Cater Diamond is a living, animated doll made by the whims of his two elder sisters and the craftsmanship and magic of his kindly father, featuring art by @dawdleling on Insta!—Opening his eyes, the doll has no way of knowing that they’re the same peridot green reflected in the ones he’s looking up into. But even without that distinction, he knows what he wishes to call his creator.“Dad?”The man’s face shifts, now bewildered in the most pleasant way as he gives a toothy smile, his expression overwhelmingly endearing.“That’s me!” He chirps, those lovely little wrinkles crinkling happily against his cheeks like tinsel. “And your name will be…”
