Summary
What if "The Rookie" was not about John Nolan but Lucy Chen?Lucy Chen is a newly divorced mom of an 18-year-old child called Oliver. It is the first day of university when Lucy accompanies her son to his new campus in Los Angeles. Life had decided so, she would start her life again from scratch in this new city. As soon as they arrive, an incident occurs: a senior student shoots people in the building next door. The adrenaline of the situation and saving a police officer in the dorm hallway gives her an idea of what she wants to do now: become a police officer in the LAPD. But at 38, life continues to throw obstacles in her way. And one of them has a name: Tim Bradford.
