Summary
I see a lot of 'don't know how to tag' tags on fic and had to figure out a lot of this through a combination of research and figuring out how it worked as I went along, but thought I'd share what I learned in the hopes it might help someone else.Tl;dr: Be nice to the tag wranglers, and the tag search is your friend. That, and looking at the norms in the fandom you're posting in, and copy-pasting tags in is very useful.
