For a time, he had been Tommy’s Joel and then Tess’ Joel. He knew that Tommy had left him because he had been aware about that Tess will stay and watch out for him. Tommy was sure about that Tess won’t let him kill himself, so he could leave without signing his death sentence.And finally, he had become Ellie’s Joel and if he was serious, this was his favourite version of Joel since over twenty years. He kind of even liked this one, since it remembered him a lot about Sarah’s Joel from back then.And besides, Ellie was caring about the Joel from this time, not from back then. She cared about that version of him and not the one from before or any other. She didn't want him to be like he had been back then, she just wanted him to be the way she knew him now.
